Forgiving
Has anyone ever noticed that when you wound a part of your physical body for some strange reason people tend to slam in to it, objects slam into it, and in general that part of your body becomes a target for all sorts of re-wounding nuisances? For example recently my friend broke a toe, and wouldn't you know...everyone stepped on it! I had a tetanus shot and everyone kept slamming into my arm! There seem to be a connection between wounded and being re-wounded, and therefore one must be careful until the physical wound is healed.
Ok you say, what does this have to do with a wounded spirit? Our spirits when wounded ache and hurt pretty much the same way our physical bodies hurt when they are wounded. Unlike the physical body however, people tend to neglect their spiritual wounds, or in some cases re-wound and feed those wounds. They then become walking wounded, easily bruised, easily re-wounded. It doesn't take much to re-wound because these spiritual wounds are festering, weeping, often aching for healing.
How then do we heal our wounded Spirits so that they are not a constant target for pain and re-injury? Part of the process lays in the ability to forgive. Forgiveness is not necessarily a feeling it's a choice. Human nature does not necessarily want to forgive when we are hurt and wounded. Our souls cry out for justice, for remedy when we have been wronged. It is our right our Spirit cries, do not expect me to forgive for what has been done so our Spirit says. Yet, the more we hold bitterness and refuse to forgive, the more it festers. The more it festers, the larger the wound. The larger that wound is, the more internal Spiritual bleeding. Imagine having gangrene of the Spirit, this is the end result of holding unforgiveness. Ultimately it ends up hurting us.
When we make a decision to forgive that sets the healing process in motion. If we refuse to give place to thoughts of anger and bitterness, and we make a cold-blooded decision to forgive that is the beginning of a deep spiritual and emotional cleansing. If we refuse to harp on what is ultimately our "rights", and leave it to the Universe, we not only open the door to healing but to the ultimate justice. This is not easy, and it's a process. However we have a choice as we walk our path. Heal and move forward, or spend life as a walking wounded. Which choice will we make?

AHO!! Howa!!AHO!!.. Forgiveness is the greatest healer of all. .Love and Blessings Dear Sister.
Couldn't agree more.
I once heard it said that hatred is like swallowing poison and hoping the other person dies.
Tha scars from hatred run very deep. In the end, though, once we open our hearts to the love of Great Spirit, even those scars can fade…
